Retreats - Testimonials

Profession: Entrepreneur

The retreat was the most transformative experience I have lived so far.

Every person should “gift themselves” with this silence, with this presence.

Certainly extremely challenging, but when it comes to getting closer to God, no effort is ever too much.

Guru Narayana was a true blessing in my life, his presence, his words, his gaze. Even when he told me I’m 51 years old and have spent my whole life without seeking God ?

I leave transformed, and with the certainty that I will continue my journey.

My gratitude to everyone involved in the retreat for caring for us in every detail, cleaning, waiting for us to meditate, sitting with us in each session, giving us their example, and preparing such delicious food made with so much love.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone at the City of Angels <3

Profession: Photographer

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to be in this sacred place, on this sacred mission that has contributed so profoundly to my search for freedom.

I am grateful for each resident here, for their service offered with so much love. The presence of divine love is truly palpable, it transforms us even in silence and in the restriction of the senses. The presence of each one supports our inner work of untying the knots of illusion with firmness and sincerity every single day.

I am immensely grateful to Guru Narayana for the blessing of being here and accessing so many teachings and so much wisdom. To stand before a Master is an honor, for he has already walked the path, and from that source, filled with foundation, seriousness, strength, and love, we can drink and be guided.

I finish this 10-day retreat, which was truly challenging, feeling my soul overflowing with love and gratitude for all the work done in the search for truth. Many doubts I carried along my path were clarified, and I thank God for guiding me to this sacred place filled with love.

It is truly a gift to receive the call to awakening, once you see, you can never unsee.

As Rita Lee’s song says: “I don’t want luxury or trash, my dream is to be immortal.” We are here, and we are, from the moment this perception dawns, this turning of the key changes everything.

Gratitude, gratitude.

Profession: Acupuncturist

My journey in this retreat unfolded in different phases, beginning with the false illusion that—because of past experiences—it would be difficult, yet I had no idea of the true challenges I would face.

Looking into our inner chaos is never easy, but when you’ve done it before, the illusion of pride can make you think it will become easier each time. It doesn’t. It’s not easier or harder, in truth, both are just illusions.

What I learned is that in the initial pain, in facing the chaos, in the effort to quiet the body and remain in the practice, you must be humble, humble before your expectations, before the chaos, and before the process. Only then can you move through it, “connect” with it, surrender, and practice the detachment needed to reach the true calling that lies beneath.

My advice for future participants: practicing meditation before the retreat is important, but it is not everything. Come with an open heart for all experiences, and always maintain discipline.

P.S.: a special thank you to the kitchen for taking care of us with so much love and tenderness, and to all the residents as well.

Retreat: February 1st to 12th, 2023

My experience was something totally deep and intense, where it made me look inside myself and purify layers that needed to be purged and cleansed, the silence brought me a constant presence and left me in a state of peace, as much as there was a lot of chaos to be stirred and brought to the surface, the dive into itself in the whole process of the retreat was transformative. I feel energized and purified with the technique teached, and I know that this is just the beginning of the journey. I have many layers to purge, and I know that with the Kriya technique everything will become easier to continue the process with discipline and dedication.
I thank the Ashram residents for their hospitality and care during all the days, providing me comfort and good food, as well as good vibes and a surreal energy.
